Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

FAQ's / Feedback

iwingo welcomes feedback from its users whether you are a member or a member in waiting. We also encourage you to tell us what you think whether it is positive or well……not so positive. We want to make iwingo the most fun possible, and this can only be achieved through feedback from lovely people just like you.

We tend to be asked the same or some very similar questions, therefore we have listed some of them with the answers below.  This should save you time and effort (we are nice like that). Please feel free to read these before using the feedback function on the website.

It seems very easy and simple, do people actually win?

Of course they win, from the start we have given away prizes whenever there is a competition, we also try hard to come up with new and exciting prizes that we think you will really enjoy winning.

We also show our recent winners on the right hand side of the home page, this is so you can see past winners and the testimonies they have, and it also provides a goal for you to aspire to......getting on that elite winners list!

How do you pick the winner?

Our values mean that we are committed to operating with honesty and integrity, this means having a fair and consistent system for drawing winners.

Within 28 working days of the closing date of all competitions we send the details of all entrants to an external prize draw company. Winner's are then selected.

What happens to any personal details I use to enter or register?

We are not that interested in collecting data about you, that’s not really what iwingo is about, however if you do enter online instead of SMS message then answers to specific questions asked by us will be used.

This information may be used to help us, or third parties, contact you by, email, sms, phone, post or other means, with relevant communication about our website, upcoming competitions and any products and services of relevant third party companies.

Can you tell me more about registering with iwingo?

We strongly recommend registering if you are a frequent visitor to the website. Firstly because when you register with iwingo you will receive a welcome email, and then a regular e-mail newsletter packed with information, hints, tips and advanced information on future competitions.

Secondly on registering you can do loads of extra things on the iwingo website such as fill in your personal profile, download a profile picture, use the iwingo forum and much much more.

You can cancel your subscription at any time!

Why do I need to be over 16 years old to use iwingo?

It is a legal requirement in the UK that you are 16 years of age or over to enter any competitions by SMS, or 18 years of age or over to participate in any competition that requires your personal information to enter.

How do I enter a competition?

This is simple. Play the game that is associated with the competition you would like to enter, once you are successful you will be given a code which you need to text to 80878.  Alternatively you may enter online for free by completing a short questionnaire.

Is my text entry free?

To text in to enter a competition you will have to pay your own personal standard text charge plus an additional charge when receiving the inbound text from iwingo, this charge is a maximum of £1.50 per text.  This charge is used to cover the cost of providing the text entry service plus the administration costs for running the competition.  Of course you can choose to enter for free via the online entry format if you so wish.

What happens after I text in the code?

Once you have completed the game, linked to the prize you want to play for, you will be given a short code that you need to text into iwingo. You will then receive a reply message so you know we have received your entry. If your code was correct then you will be entered into the competition and you are ready to play again!

What does the 'entries' information mean on each competition page?

At iwingo we want to be as upfront as possible, this information lets you see how many people have entered a competition currently running.  From this you can work at your chances of winning, at that time, and decide if you want to play – absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed, but this information is updated at least every 60 minutes.

What are the charities that feature on the site?

One of our key values is to edify the communities that we are linked with.  We are committed to giving something back to those around us and we guarantee that at least one selected charity on our website will be supported by iwingo every month. Iwingo charities are chosen for their suitability by the iwingo team or have been nominated by you, our customers.

You can see the currently supported charities via the community link on the website, also you can see charities that we have supported previously with links to their websites.

How do I contact iwingo?

If your query has not been answered in these FAQ's then please visit our contact us page. You can get us via post, phone, e-mail, text, telephone, whichever way you want.

Who do I contact if my query has not been answered?

If you submitted your query on the contact us page we normally take two working days to reply. If you did not do this then please go to the contact us form. If you already did this then please be patient with us for a just a little bit longer and contact us again two working days after your first contact – we are sorry if you feel neglected.
